Scott A. Cummings
Mr. Scott A. Cummings became associated with the firm in April, 2013 and has been licensed to practice in Texas since 1995. Mr. Cummings is an experienced Trial and Appellate Attorney with extensive motion practice, depositions, mediations, hearings, trial work, briefing, and oral argument to Courts of Appeal. Mr. Cummings has completed the Cornell University Certificate Program in Employee Relations and Investigations, and has extensive experience as an investigator having performed independent investigations for school districts, municipalities, colleges and private schools. Mr. Cummings is the former Dean of Instruction of the International College of the Cayman Islands where he taught courses in law, ethics, and insurance. Mr. Cummings previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cayman Islands National Insurance Company from 2010 through 2013, and served on the Cayman Islands Ministry of Health 2012 National Health Policy and Strategic Plan Committee. He also served on the Board of Directors of Saxon, MG, a Caribbean based automobile insurance carrier from 2011 through 2013. Mr. Cummings has authored continuing education materials and spoken at continuing education seminars. Mr. Cummings has also completed the Mediator training required by the Texas State Bar and has conducted in person and zoom mediations in his role as mediator.
